Y2K Compliance Statement

The following statements concern our software components only. No statement can be made concerning the operating platform or system software. If there are any concerns with respect to those components, a simple work around would be to set the date of the computer prior to 01-01-2000 as none of this software uses the date in any calculation or reference.

In any case it is a good idea to set the system date preference to express years as four digits which will avoid many problems, let alone user-confusion.

Gtype for DOS

Versions prior to 4.19 contain a bug which may cause the program to hang if run over any midnight. This is due to the fact that the Dos timer counter is reset to zero at that time. A simple workaround would be to ensure that the PC clock doesn’t pass through midnight during a performance.

The latest version (4.78) is Y2K compliant as defined in the BSI document PD2000-1:1998.

Gtype for Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/2000

Gtype for Windows is Y2K compliant as defined in the BSI document PD2000-1:1998.
